SSLC teens will be working on various activities in relation to Safety Awareness for the month of October. The M/W Coffee House has been discussing Internet Safety. The T/Th Coffee House has been working on communication, and will be discussing emergency signs.

In Teen Group, the teens discussed safe (expected) and unsafe (unexpected) actions within Teen Group, as well as personal boundaries. These groups will also be discussing the various emergency signs they could see within the community.

Last week, our Teen Group created a card for a local women's shelter, to wish them a Happy Autumn. The teens really enjoyed the activity, which they had to use their finger prints to make the leaves of the card's tree.

Week in Review:

"I liked going to Wegmans, to return the bottles." -- Peter

Peter really enjoyed going to Wegmans this week. He helped return the bottles that we have been collection around SSLC. The money will help fund the Halloween Dance we will be having on October 28th, 6-7p!

Some of our teens expressed that they will miss coming to group on Monday, due to Columbus Day.

Reminder: No teen programming will be held on Monday, October 10th, in observance of Columbus Day.
