Happy New Year!

The teens are happy to share one of their favorite annual activities they take part in at SSLC - Greeting Card Exchange!

Who doesn’t enjoy a greeting card or two (in our case 24)? This was our 3rd year taking part in this exciting a popular activity. In total, there were 50 classes/extracurricular programs involved from all over the United States of America, Canada and two classes from Australia. Our teens and staff really love this opportunity. All of the teens, in our 2016-2017 teen programming, signed their names (first names only) to each outgoing greeting card. Included within each greeting card was a photo collage; containing a photo of our teens with the new mural in the background. Staff also included the link to the teens' blog. Teens worked together on developing their mailing skills through addressing and stamping all of the outgoing greeting card envelops. Receiving a greeting card is always fun, but having each card from a different part of our country, and a few internationally, it was an exciting experience for the teens. They enjoyed looking at each of the cards they received, as well as learning about each of the schools/programs locations and their students’ interests.

We hope you had a cool holiday season. coffee house was fun. We talk about being nice to others, and I have fun with my friend Shea. She is a funny person, and she makes me laugh and makes me feel better. One time we went to Starbucks. I love my friends and staff like Ms. Megan, Mrs. A and my friends Dan, Shea, Meagan and many more. I like coming to Stepping Stones.
